My gosh, a new year! I have been busy, never fear, but my computer went belly up and I had to buy a new program and, I mean, busy busy trying to get everything working again!
I've had lots of time to work on sewing, and tah-dah! First quilt of the year! My friend asked me to make a version of this for her niece, and since it's been 2 years since I last made this pattern, I thought I was up to the challenge again. All those circles wear me out, it's really more involved than you would think.
I used Miss Kate by Bonnie & Camille for Moda. I love this fabric! It's very soft, and the colors have a great 1940ish vibe.
The reverse side is solid aqua with one daisy block. I had cut too many pieces, so thought I had better use them up instead of tossing them. On the bed, it looks great either side!
I used this free pattern for the design. I did enlarge the pattern to a 6-1/2" square, because 5" (if that is what it was) is just too time consuming for my head. My finished dimensions are 69"x69".
So pretty! How is your new year coming along? Getting things done? I've got so much more to show you, but I need time to write out posts. Seriously not enough hours in a day around here.
