finished pink and blue girlie quilt

I so enjoyed working with this fabric, with shabby chic flowers and magical animals. Hand-quilted with perle cotton to emphasize the hexagon shapes, alternating with triangles.

The finished size ix 87"x83" which fits generously on a single-sized bed.

You can see the edge almost touched the floor, the quilt is centered in the photo so that an equal amount of fabric falls down the opposite side that you can't see (no sneaky photo making the quilt look bigger than it really is).

The wind was making outdoor photos difficult, but I think overall you can see the color spread. Very feminine.
The reverse side is the same as the little rabbits on the front, just a different colorway. The edge is bound in the same fabric as the reverse, using a double-fold of fabric for the binding. The binding on quilts is what typically wears out first, so using a double-thickness of fabric helps give you longer overall life.

I have this quilt listed in my etsy shop. It would make a terrific gift for a little girl this Christmas holiday! It is listed for sale here.
