I absolutely love my fabric choices for this needlebook. It's tremendously lovely.
But I made a mistake--the pocket is upside down! I put it at the TOP of the open book, so when you open the book the scissors and everything slide down and out. Doh!
I know exactly how I made this mistake. There was a little slice in the background fabric, and I determined I could salvage the whole piece just by covering the slice with the pocket. At the last second I asked myself, "Oh, did I do it right and cover that slice? No? Well, switch it around." But I forgot to double check what else changed when I did that.
I thought I could call it a left-handed needlebook since it effectively opens backwards, but even that won't save it. Still, it's so pretty I will use it until I make another one :).
I thought the same thing, to call it a Lefty needlebook. It is still lovely and useful no matter what.
